Mr. Walker’s primary responsibility is to oversee Madison’s accounting, finance, tax, financial planning and treasury functions. In this role, he supports firm-wide strategic initiatives, planning and resource development. In addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Walker also serves as a voting member of the firm’s Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Madison, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of property operations and redevelopment for Apartment Investment and Management Company (AIMCO), a Denver based real estate investment trust with total assets of approximately $10 billion and revenues of nearly $1.2 billion. Mr. Walker originally joined AIMCO in 2005 as Chief Accounting Officer. He also worked as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Miller Global Properties, LLC, a private equity real estate fund manager based in Denver with more than 65 office and hotel investments in the United States and Europe. Prior to Miller Global Properties, LLC, Mr. Walker served as the Global Controller for GE Capital Real Estate in Stamford, Connecticut.

Mr. Walker holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
